We have lived here for three generations. What we enjoy most: being hosts - honest, warm and approachable.
The Hotel Daneu is more than just a house. It is a temporary home for all those who appreciate the real thing.
Located on the outskirts of Nüziders, on the edge of the forest and with a view of the mountains, it is a place to arrive and take a deep breath.
Our history
What is now the Hotel Daneu began in the 1960s with a small café in the hotel's own home. With a lot of passion and hospitality, a place of encounter was created - a place where people should feel at home.
The hotel was built on this very spot in 1980. The former café grew into a hotel that has grown step by step - with a clear vision and deep roots in the region.
An extension followed in 2018, and since then the company has been constantly renovating, renewing and thinking ahead.
The hotel has been run by the next generation since 2022. With respect for history, with attention to detail - and with the aim of being a place to arrive, stay and return.
The name Daneu
Daneu - this name has history. And it belongs right here.
The term comes from Rhaeto-Romanic, one of the oldest languages in the Alpine region, and means spring. Fitting, because the place where the hotel stands today is not only the source of water - it has always been the source of hospitality and warmth.
The area in which the building is located bears the field name Daneu. When the café was opened in the 1960s, this name was deliberately chosen as a sign of the connection with the place, the language and the history.
The hotel still bears this name today. As a reminder of where it all began. And as a promise: to be a place where people can come and recharge their batteries - like a spring.
